Configurability

Although it is optimised for HR and Payroll purposes, SfP World Service can be used for many other purposes. Here at Software for People, we use World Service as a sales database, for office administration and for client management (recording HelpLine calls and the next actions required on them).

If you were to see these systems you would not recognise them as the same system we sell for HR and Payroll but they really are.

In the same way, we have customised World Service for clients to hold such things as:

a set of houses, details of the occupancy of those houses and details of all the maintenance work that has been or should be carried out on those houses.

a set of ships with details of which crew members were on each ship at any given time and details of the journeys made by each ship.

Any number of such sub-applications can be created and each one can include full validation of the data on data-entry and any reports needed from that data.

It's easy to do as well. Using our graphical screen builder you design the screen you want, saying what type each field is and positioning it on the screen and then you create one or more items on the menu to invoke the screen or screens you have built.

The database updater will read the screen you have created and automatically create the new tables on the SQL Server database. You don't have to know SQL.
